When the tourist seasons in Las Vegas are over, the biggest tourism draw comes from the Las Vegas Convention Center. With a schedule full of some of the most popular and widely attended conventions, expos, and trade shows in the country, people have found a whole new reason to buy plane tickets to Las Vegas. While the convention center itself might not have the glitz and glamor of The Strip, its located close enough to take advantage of everything Las Vegas has to offer once the shows are done for the day.
Though the Las Vegas Convention Center isn't located on The Strip, it is located on Paradise Road just minutes away from the iconic stretch of road. This allows convention goers to live it up in one of the many resort hotels, or retreat to the many smaller hotels in the area. The convention center initially began as an exhibition all in 1959 before receiving renovations throughout the 90s that have given the venue its current look. The Las Vegas Convention Center was home to the most popular trade show in the US, COMDEX, until it ended, and is now home to the most widely attended trade show in the country and COMDEX's replacement, the Consumer Electronics Show.
Tickets are always available for other, non-private conventions as well, so check the schedule above and stop by one of the busiest convention centers in the country.
